Head of HR – Line Maintenance
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Head of HR to manage day-to-day HR activities for our Line Maintenance business.
Based in Bucharest, you will join FL Technics SRL, our Romanian Line Maintenance organisation. Our business operates across Europe, with offices in Lithuania and Romania and an extensive network of line maintenance stations.
You will work closely with managers, coordinate HR colleagues and recruiters, and ensure that people processes are delivered consistently and on time. This role suits someone who enjoys staying close to operations, resolving issues, and following things through.
ABOUT FL TECHNICS:
FL Technics is a global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, delivering tailored solutions to commercial aviation customers worldwide. Our international network spans hangars, workshops, representative offices, and line maintenance stations across Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, and Canada.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage day-to-day HR activities. Organise priorities, coordinate delivery across locations, and ensure managers and employees receive timely, practical support.
Support managers. Advise on employee relations, performance, team organisation, and other people matters, involving local HR and legal specialists when needed.
Coordinate HR colleagues and recruiters. Clarify responsibilities, align priorities, monitor progress, and help resolve issues.
Coordinate recruitment. Work with hiring managers and recruiters to confirm staffing needs, track vacancies, and support timely hiring. Manage individual searches directly in exceptional cases.
Ensure effective employee processes. Oversee onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding, working with local teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely completion.
Deliver HR processes. Implement performance reviews, competency assessments, development activities, and talent and succession processes in cooperation with managers and Group HR.
Support workforce planning. Maintain visibility of headcount and staffing needs, working with managers and Finance on plans and personnel costs.
Implement policies and improvements. Put Group HR policies and tools into practice, coordinate agreed projects, and improve everyday ways of working.
Maintain reliable HR information. Ensure HR data is accurate, prepare reports, and use employee feedback and key indicators to identify issues and follow up on actions.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Experience managing HR operations or a broad HR generalist function, ideally across several locations;
Experience leading or coordinating HR colleagues and recruitment activities;
Good knowledge of core HR processes and Romanian employment practices;
The ability to work with local HR and legal specialists on employment matters in other countries;
Confidence in advising managers and handling employee matters fairly and professionally;
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities;
A practical approach to solving problems, taking ownership, and completing agreed actions;
Strong Romanian and English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Experience in an international or operational business would be an advantage. Aviation experience is welcome, but a willingness to understand our business and its people is essential.
WHAT WE OFFER:
An international role supporting teams across Europe;
The opportunity to take ownership of everyday HR operations and make visible improvements;
A supportive network of HR colleagues and business managers;
Access to internal training and professional development;
Flexible working hours;
Private health insurance;
A competitive salary based on your experience and competencies.
